Hello Andy, and welcome to the club, and sorry to hear you are a member of the club.
Anigrand did the same thing tome with my Mon Calamari Cruiser, MC80. They scanned it or molded it, and up scaled it. I know this because, they did not copy the studio model detailing, they copied my detailing, which I verified by someone sending me detailed pictures of the kit.
I also know they used my kit because i made the mistake of selling two kits to Hong Kong. Never again will I sell to Hong Kong.
